Ghana dream: from the US to Africa (the SHORT version)

The collision of two worlds

Kids in Ghana Africa have been sold into slavery.

Many times by their own family
Often for as little as $20

Pictured above is our contact Eric Peasah who rescues these children.  It is a complicated process.
  1. He takes pictures of the kids and then sets out to find the children's parents
  2. Then he arranges for the child to be rescued or payed for.  This can be dangerous.
  3. The slave owner must sign a contract saying they will never buy a child again
  4. The children are then rescued and taken to a camp where they are given food, shelter, medical treatment, counseling help, the ability to play and are prepared to enter school (this is where we come in)
  5.  The family is educated by professionals on what has happened to their child and prepared to reunite with them
  6. The child and family are assigned a caseworker who will then be following up to make sure the child is safe, in school, and has not been resold into slavery
  7. When it is deemed safe the child is reunited with their family!!!!

Back in America....

Teenagers have freedom and wealth

Yet many are still plagued with a myriad of vices

and are searching for a purpose...

I say....Send them to Africa!!!!

Let them see for themselves

and let them love for themselves...

and let them realize just what a gift their freedom and wealth is...

and let their lives be changed forever!!!

Send them back with renewed gratefulness and purpose

and keep the two worlds connected through letters and fundraising
